Mercedes introduces the B-Class with a new design and modified engines| tyre

  


 

 

 

German brand Mercedes-Benz has unveiled new updates to the improved 2023 B-Class as the company seeks to continue the success of the class in the future.

 

Mercedes-Benz designers have first made some modifications to the front end of the B-Class, including a modified front bumper and a modified grille with the aim of giving the car a "dynamic boost", new LED headlights are also available.

 

The front fascia is complemented by two-part LED taillights and two thin wings mounted on each side of the rear window, and four new wheel designs have been developed, including a set of 19-inch rims.

 The 2023 B-Class cabin has a 7-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch infotainment display as standard although customers can choose a larger 10.25-inch digital range, and the interior has been improved by a new flat-bottom steering wheel and the removal of the rotating control unit for the infotainment screen in the center console.

 

MBUX J has also been updated, incorporating a fingerprint sensor, an improved voice assistant Hey Mercedes, and three redesigned display modes named Classic, Sport, and Discreet.

 

The car manufacturer has also made an effort to make more environmentally conscious choices with the materials used in the cabin, including standard comfort seats with central sections that use 100% recycled materials.

 

Some safety updates have also been made, including an upgraded driver assistance package which includes an improved lane keeping assistance system, active steering control, and optional trailer maneuvering assistance function.

In terms of powertrain, all types of petrol in the 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class are electrically powered, and most of them use a 48-volt light hybrid system with a power generator.

 

The car will be presented in versions B 250 e, B 180, B 200, B 220 4Matic, B 250 4Matic, B 180 d, B 200 d and B 220 d.

 

The improved B-Series hybrid versions are equipped with an improved high-voltage battery, as well as a 3.7 kW charging standard, which can be charged with alternating current up to 11 kW, instead of 7.4 kW as in the past.

 

These models can also be charged up to 22 kW through a DC charger, which means that the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent of the capacity in 25 minutes, and the electric motor has also been upgraded to provide an additional 5 kW, resulting in a total of 80 kW.
